Thank you for the opportunity to serve the membership of the legendary Local 804. I will do everything in my power to validate your faith in me and my awesome team.

On New Year's Eve, we met with the outgoing board and I assigned specific transition tasks to each of my guys. I could only smile as I watched everyone diving right into the job at hand and looking to help each other. It was exactly what I envisioned when we started building the team.

We are working hard for you, on and off the shop floor. We met with UPS, Joint Council 16, and officers from other Teamster locals. We've spoken with the IBT, planned meetings and training classes, and we've hired the finest professionals available to represent our members.

The work is just beginning, but there are no challenges we won't meet head on. Soon, we will resume 804 supplement negotiations with UPS, and we will get you the best agreement we possibly can.

I've been approached by a few members. Of course, they are not shy. They've said " I didn't support you guys in the election."  I stop them right there to let them know I don't care who you supported in 2018, I want your support in 2019. In unity there is strength. Together we will do great things.

The James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship

Applications are available for the James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship. In addition to the academic scholarship, the fund offers a Training and Vocational Scholarship. Apply here.

Hundreds of Local 804 part-timers won a pay increase when the new $15 minimum wage went into effect in New York City on December 31.

Local 804 members played a key role in the Fight for 15 campaign that won these pay increases. Members signed petitions, held parking lot rallies, took our cause to Albany, and marched in the streets.

The Fight for 15 united Local 804 members with labor and community allies across the city and state—and it paid off.

$15 is now the minimum wage in New York City. The minimum wage also went up in Westchester and Long Island, but to just $13 an hour.

Local 804 members will keep up the Fight for $15 and fair pay for all workers.

Local 804 will hold a General Membership Meeting on Sunday February 17th at 10 AM. The Meeting will be at the Local 282 Union Hall which is located at 2500 Marcus Ave Lake Success NY. 

The first Shop Steward Meeting of the year will take place on Saturday February 9 at the Local 804 Union Hall at 10 AM. The address is 34-21 Review Avenue in Long Island City Queens.
